Since I’ve been raiding more and more in this game I’ve struggled to make sure I am making optimal use of my screen area while still being able to keep track of all things hunterish. I think I finally found a workable configuration so I thought I would share. It should be noted that something like this, that uses a lot of addons and liberal use of the screen space, requires a computer with a little more oomph and a large monitor.
My goal here is to get the maximum amount of information to me while being able to see as much of what is going on as possible. Still haven’t tested this latest layout in a party/raid environment so that will come later this week.
It should be noted that I am running MiksScrollingBattleText, but for some reason it doesn’t show up in screenshots.

If/when you raid, you might have an obstruction issue with DBM on-screen warnings in relation to where you have your “target” frame located. just a thought.

Not bad, I’m just about to start a complete redisign of my UI and plan on using most of your list.
Ag_unit frames instead of xpearl and adding in Miks combat text, eavesdrop, omniCC and, titan panel.
Along with ratingsbuster and all the norm AH/gathering adds.
Any raid frames? Tanks and tank targets? Focus frames?
@ Kheldul
I do have X-Perl set up with raid frames, but it just isn’t showing since I’m solo here.
When we raid this evening I will take a screenshot and see how it looks.
@Augos
Excellent point…we’ll have to see what it looks like when we do Malygos and OS tonight.
@Vas
I do use many of the non-combat AddOns as well, including Auctioneer, RatingsBuster (love it!) and Gatherer.
I do also use MSBT, but for some reason the way that AddOn is programmed the screenshots don’t pick it up. Weird. At the moment I took the screen I had my Lock and Load proc notification up and a juicy crit on the side….I swear.
A couple other raid addons that help a lot are oRA and of course DBM or BigWigs.
Also, elkano’s buff bars are great for displaying your buffs, debuffs, etc.
This is almost comically-close to the addons I’m running, with the exception of Pitbull instead of X-Perl (gotta have VisualHeal for when I’m tanking so I don’t use an oh-snap button unnecessarily). I do end up adding a few extras like MSBT, Sunn, CowTip, and DBM.
MSBT is necessarily because it allows for summaries of incoming and outgoing damage so that having all those damage numbers pop up over the mobs’ heads doesn’t cause a noticeable FPS hit. Sunn, likewise, helps give me a black strip at the bottom of my screen where most everything else fits into, resizes the actual in-game display, and repositions my character accordingly so that I don’t miss anything and the overall UI is that much cleaner. I also use CowTip to make sure the tooltip stays in the corner of the screen I require and doesn’t overlay on top of anything else.
I’ve also recently found myself enjoying Quartz cast bars and Satrina’s Buff Frames for organization and placement of their respective responsibilities, but that does start to traverse into “busy UI” territory. And frankly, some of the other add-ons I mentioned in addition to yours require tweaking and reconfiguration to look eye-pleasing and in optimal locations… but it’s worth it. =)
Your minimap seems to be floating in the middle of nowhere, and it would probably be better down the bottom right next to Omen, unless you already have something there.
I usually also hide my bag bar completely, as I use Bagnon and open all bags with the B hotkey. It’s hard to place a bag bar in a space saving UI, so I would suggest getting Bagnon and hiding the bar bar completely. Same goes for the options bar, I have it on mouseover appear because I hardly use the buttons anyway.
You UI is indeed very clean. I wish I could get mine like that! Took me long enough to change to bartender. I change things and then don’t like them because they are not what I am used to.
I used sexymap for a while too, and i LOVED it, so so sexy indeed.
@Tora – Very good point! I have bagnon and yet still have my bag bar out, seems silly now I see there is no need for it…DELETE!
